When I first drew this piece back in 2020, it was one of my favorites because of how impressive it felt to me. Of course, my artistic skill has grown since then, and I decided to redraw it this year for a side by side comparison. The new piece showcases my improvement in both lighting and composition. While the original's lighting did not make much sense and had quite simple composition (with the character in the middle of the piece), the new one has understandable lighting and a more offset composition. The textures are also much more detailed than the original.
